Light as an Exhibit Design Tool

The importance of proper lighting as a design tool for exhibition booths or stands can never be over-emphasized. Whatever, the focus product group of a trade show or exhibition be, proper lighting can be a very effective medium to enhance the overall experience and ambience inside the stall. It can, in fact, be a very important part of the message that the exhibitor would like to send out to potential visitors at his booth.

 

Lighting as an exhibit design tool

If proper lighting can enhance the user experience, bad lighting can altogether kill it too. A designer has to strike a balance, so as not indulge in unnecessary overkill. Just putting in a lot of lights at every corner, does not seem to be the right way to light up an exhibition booth. It needs to be an integral part of the whole design fabric. Sometimes, low lighting can be more powerful than anything else.

Sometimes the lighting itself can be seamlessly woven into the overall design fabric of the tradeshow booth, for a very unique and eye-catching look.

Whatever be the way one uses lighting to lend character to the exhibition stall, it, unfortunately, remains one of the most under-used and under-utilised of all design elements.

Stand setup at the IDS 2013, Cologne, Germany.

In our endeavour to increase our footprint across major fairs and venues in Europe, we are now also working in the IDS Cologne 2013 Fair. And as we relax after having set up a stand at the fair, we now prepare to dismantle it and move on to the European Coatings Show, the ECS, at Nuremberg. The big thumbs up we received from our client, Jyoti Ceramics GmbH, is a huge encouragement to us and to our team. It also proves our efforts to come good every time. We have now been contracted to setup for the same client at the ECS 2013 at Nuremberg and also at the Powtech later in April, also in Nuremberg.

ISKSAA 2013, New Delhi.

It is a very encouraging and heartening feeling, when our clients, that we have worked for before in some other exhibition, come back to us to get their stands designed and constructed in other fairs as well, in the process, making us a very integral part of their exhibiting procedure. This shows their faith in our abilities, and is the most prolific and visible endorsement of our services.

After having worked for Biotek, and having designed and setup their stand at the Medica Dusseldorf 2012 fair, we were recalled by the client to design their stand at the Arab Health Show 2013 in Dubai. Then we were also contracted to design and setup their booth at the ISKSAA 2013, a convention held in the Hotel Radisson Blu, Dwarka, New Delhi. Once again, we were able to put a smile on their faces, with our efforts. Once again, we felt encouraged and acknowledged. It is indeed a great feeling.

Seeking Business Development Managers / Associates

Studio One Designs Pvt. Ltd., a leading exhibition design and contracting firm, based in Ghaziabad, India, but with a pretty much global perspective, is looking for self-motivated Business Development Managers / Associates to work on a profit-sharing basis. The candidate would, preferably, be from the same or similar field, who understands the nitty gritties of working in the exhibition industry, and is well aware of the rigours of the job. He / she should be ready to give it all he / she has and achieve targets that he / she sets himself / herself. Since you will be working on a profit-sharing basis, the more you put in, the more you get out of it. Basically, the sky is the limit for you. It will not be a regular 9-to-5 job, but it will be fun for the right person.

Our new Website is "up and about"!!

Very pleased to infrm everybody, that we have now strengthened our web presence with the setting up of our new website at http://www.teamstudioone.in The site is still in its infancy, and needs to be developed further, which, of course we will be doing as we go along, and as and when we find time from designing and putting up stands at exhibitions. We hope to be able to update it regularly and make as informative as it can possibly become.
